Rudeen Gibson is an abstract painter from Toronto, Ontario whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His artwork is inspired by the New York School Movement of Abstract Expressionism. Gibson creates dynamic imagery through the application of paint in a gestural style. Using intuitive techniques in his process there is an emphasis on vivid colour interactions, building up layers of paint and scraping back with deliberate markings to create depth and texture. He aims to generate an expression of feeling, evoking a response from his viewers.
